Semiconductor Careers in the Netherlands: Equipment vs. Wafer Fab

The Netherlands has two distinct semiconductor career tracks, and they require fundamentally different skills, mindsets, and CV strategies. Equipment manufacturers like ASML and ASM International build the machines that make chips. Wafer fabs like NXP and Nexperia run those machines to produce chips at scale. Track 1: Semiconductor equipment manufacturers

Equipment manufacturers are engineering-first organisations.
